This study aims to determine: (1) the use of information technology in online learning at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta (2) efforts to overcome lost traffic, limited facilities, infrastructure, and IT personnel, and the lack of student responsiveness during online learning at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta; (3) the development that will be carried out is related to the limitations of infrastructure, IT personnel, and the lack of student responsiveness when learning online at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The sampling techniques used are purposive and snowball sampling. Sources of data used are informants, places, and events, as well as archives and documents. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. Data validation was carried out using source triangulation and technical triangulation. The data analysis technique used is interactive model analysis. The results showed that the use of information technology in online learning at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta includes: background, role of utilization, role of IT personnel, various technologies used, efforts made by SMA N 5 Surakarta to overcome obstacles, and development.
